MARCH 2010 - MARCH IS NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH!!!
Also in honor of National Craft Month, fabulous new items are arriving daily so look forward to Saturday Demonstrations in each of our departments. We have been receiving semi-precious, Czech and Chinese crystal bead strands at incredible prices. A shipment of new latch hook rug kits arrived just today as well as new fabrics and quilting notions by Grace Company. New rubber stamps, papers and embellishments AND shaped, acrylic albums came in just last week. There are so many great things coming in from the CHA show, it's like Christmas everyday! Whether you're new to crafting or experienced, National Craft Month is a great time to try something new and our staff is ready to assist you. I, myself, have taken up card making using techniques I learned from Brenda using the House Mouse stamps and Gamsol blending techniques. I never thought I could make cards like the models I see in the department but I've discovered it's much easier than it looks. So don't be afraid to try something new, the learning is fun and the satisfaction from creating can't be beat! Hello All. As you can see, March is National Craft Month and to celebrate we are bringing back FREE Make and Takes. Mark you calendar for Saturday, March 13th. We will be making Ribbon Easter Eggs AND Beaded Bunnies. To add to the fun we will also be having FREE popcorn. HURRAY!!!!
The most exciting department right now is Paper Crafts. There are so many new arrivals there I can't possibly list them all but I'll do my best. Here we go! We have 7 new collections from Kaiser Craft: Gypsy Sisters, Peachy Keen, Pennyroyale, Lilac Avenue, Loire Valley, Pack Your Bags, and Shaken Not Stirred. Gypsy Sisters combines burgundy, turquoise, heavy cream and muted magenta to create a powerful group full of flourishes, flowers and stripes. Peachy Keen (my favorite) combines peach, orange, terra cotta, brown, and three shades of muted teal to make a warm, peaceful group full of flowers, birds and texture. Pennyroyale brings together muted magenta, heavy peach and brown resulting in a yummy combination of color and design. Flowers, flourishes and dots abound. Lilac Avenue pulls from the colors of spring using pale yellow, pale lime green and shades of lilac to create a sense of breezy whimsy. Loire Valley combines muted shades of burgundy, black, medium blue and cream resulting in a more traditional look filled with birds and flowers. Pack Your Bags is a fun travel collection incorporating greens, blues, browns, and cream. Finally, Shaken Not Stirred, as you may have guessed, is very Bond inspired. A fun, masculine collection composed of red, black, grey and white to bring out the dashing and mysterious qualities of your secret agent's photos. Each of these collections includes: embroidered patches, rub-ons in black and white or color, ink pads, brad packs, clear stamps, 6Ó paper pads and project ideas.
